Tsuchinoko Intake system for GD3 Honda Fit, a proven power adder and it’s finally ready!

 

After a six-month development period with repeated trial and error, J’S Racing has completed an air intake system specifically for the Fit that has been proven to increase power.

[Chamber development and explanation]

By placing the filter inside the bumper, the engine takes in the cooler and more dense air instead of drawing in hot air from the engine room. This design also creates a large-capacity chamber to maximize volume within the cramped engine bay. (Compatible with genuine bumper intake)

This design turns the inside of the bumper/fender area into a large-capacity airbox.

The design incorporates a specialized barrier element to help prevent rain from entering the intake, preventing possible engine damage during wet weather driving. The intake also has passed real-world driving tests during heavy rainfall.

We performed our test using a dynapack and the same vehicle with the stock engine in these configurations: OEM, aftermarket air filter, and Tsuchinoko intake.

The Tsuchinoko test results were conducted without forcing air from a fan to the intake chamber.

Please note the dramatic improvement in torque as well as power.

In addition, the Tsuchinoko chamber has a compounded effect with the addition of wind/vehicle speed. This additional airflow promises to improve power and torque even more in real-world application than the data suggests.
