After almost a year long development period and repeated trial and error, a dedicated air intake system for the Accord CL7 that ensures a significant power boost has been completed.
【Heat Shield & Chamber Structure】
By effectively utilizing the limited space in the engine room, the chamber and air filter are housed within the heat shield, enabling the intake of fresh air without drawing in the hot air from the engine room.
【Dedicated Air Duct & Partition Plate】
The included dedicated air duct is located inside the bumper. This method allows fresh air obtained from within the bumper to pass through a dedicated partition plate, converting it into a large-capacity intake box inside the fender, directing ram air to the large-diameter air filter. Furthermore, the dedicated partition design ensures that rain and other elements do not directly impact the filter. It passed driving tests during heavy rainfall.
【DynoPack Test】
We carried out a power check in the order of normal, aftermarket air cleaner, and Tsuchinoko chamber. All tests were conducted on the same vehicle, equipped with a normal engine. During this time, we specifically did not send any fan air to the intake side to test the performance of the chamber itself. Please take note of the dramatic improvement in torque, as well as the power. Furthermore, the Tsuchinoko chamber, which is greatly affected by driving wind, promises an increase in power and torque beyond the recorded data as the car drives.
